Sky House features a vaulted roof over three volumes that are arranged to create a striking open space at the center of the home. 3D printed volumes at ground level contain the kitchen and more private rooms, spaced apart to frame the generous living-dining area that opens to the outdoors on both sides. The tall vaulted roof further expands the central space, which is open to above with the exception of a feature bridge connecting the two halves of the building. The bedrooms on the second level are defined by the dramatic pitch of the roof and its openings that create broad terraces.

The home has been designed as a housing product for ICON, a construction technology company at the forefront of 3D printed home construction. The design for the home evolved with both desired lifestyle and constructability in mind. The home is comprised of a hybrid of 3D printed and prefabricated elements, allowing for rapid construction while optimizing for precision and refinement.
